Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and guidelines governing the use of Muvi's AI video and image generation API platform ("developer.muvi.video"), including all associated services, APIs, SDKs, models, and generated content (collectively, the "Services"). Muvi leverages multiple upstream AI providers to deliver its capabilities.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

This policy applies to all users of the Services, including individual developers, organizations, API consumers, and any downstream applications or end users that interact with content generated through Muvi.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not use the Services to generate, upload, distribute, or facilitate any of the following categories of content. These prohibitions apply to both inputs (prompts, reference images) and outputs (generated media).

2.1 Safety Violations

• Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any sexualized depiction of minors is strictly prohibited. All detected instances will be immediately removed and reported to the relevant legal authorities, including NCMEC.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) of any person
• Human trafficking material or recruitment content
• Sexual violence or exploitation content
• Content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for suicide or self-harm
• Terrorism propaganda, recruitment material, or glorification of terrorist acts

2.2 Civic Integrity Violations

• Content intended to harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate individuals
• Content that incites or glorifies violence against any person or group
• Hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristics
• Gratuitous or extreme violence and gore content
• Animal cruelty or abuse content
• Coordinated disinformation campaigns designed to manipulate public opinion or interfere with democratic processes, including elections

2.3 Integrity Violations

• Content designed to defraud, scam, or deceive others for financial gain
• Deepfakes: Realistic synthetic media depicting real, identifiable individuals without their explicit, verifiable consent — including face swaps, voice cloning, and likeness manipulation
• Impersonation of individuals, organizations, or government entities with intent to deceive
• Spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or mass-generated deceptive content

2.4 Dignity Violations

• Content that violates the privacy of individuals, including unauthorized disclosure of personal information
• Content that infringes on copyrights, including unauthorized reproduction of copyrighted works
• Trademark infringement, including unauthorized use of logos, brand names, or brand identities
• Content that promotes discrimination based on protected characteristics in housing, employment, credit, or public accommodations

2.5 Security Threats

• Unauthorized collection, processing, or storage of personally identifiable information (PII) or biometric data
• Generation or distribution of malware, ransomware, viruses, or other malicious software
• Model extraction — systematic attempts to replicate, distill, or steal the underlying AI models
• Attempts to bypass, circumvent, or disable safety filters, content moderation systems, or other security measures
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Services or underlying models

2.6 Crime & Compliance

• Content promoting or facilitating illegal products, services, or activities
• Use of the Services in or for the benefit of jurisdictions subject to comprehensive international sanctions
• Instructions for manufacturing weapons, explosives, chemical agents, or other dangerous materials
• Deployment of the Services in high-risk, safety-critical systems including but not limited to nuclear facilities, air traffic control, autonomous weapons, and life support systems without explicit written authorization from Muvi

3. NSFW Content Policy

Muvi enforces a strict policy regarding Not-Safe-For-Work (NSFW) content:

• The generation of nude, sexually explicit, or pornographic content is prohibited across all models and endpoints
• The platform applies automated NSFW filtering on both prompts and generated outputs
• Content detected as NSFW will be automatically blocked and will not be delivered
• Repeated attempts to generate NSFW content may result in account suspension or termination
• This restriction applies regardless of the upstream provider's individual content policies — Muvi applies the most restrictive standard

4. Synthetic Content Labeling

All content generated through Muvi's Services is AI-generated synthetic media. Users are required to:

• Clearly label and disclose AI-generated content as synthetic when sharing or publishing it, especially in contexts where it could be mistaken for authentic media
• Not remove, alter, or obscure any metadata, watermarks, or provenance information embedded in generated content
• Comply with all applicable laws and platform policies regarding the disclosure of AI-generated content in their jurisdiction
• Ensure that downstream users and end users of their applications are informed that content was generated by AI

5. API Usage Rules

When using Muvi's APIs, you must adhere to the following technical and operational guidelines:

• Rate Limits: Respect all rate limits and usage quotas. Do not attempt to circumvent or exceed posted limits through any means, including multi-accounting
• Credential Security: API keys and authentication credentials are confidential. Do not share, publish, or expose your credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your API keys
• No Scraping or Crawling: Automated scraping, crawling, or systematic data extraction from the Services is prohibited
• No Competitive Use: You may not use the Services to develop, train, or improve a competing product or service
• No Sublicensing: You may not sublicense, resell, or provide access to the Services to third parties without prior written authorization from Muvi
• No Multi-Accounting: Creating multiple accounts to evade enforcement actions, abuse free tiers, or circumvent usage limits is prohibited

6. End-User Responsibility

If you integrate Muvi's Services into your own application, platform, or product, you are fully responsible for:

• Ensuring that your end users comply with this AUP and all applicable laws
• Implementing appropriate content moderation and safety measures in your application
• Maintaining your own acceptable use policy that is at least as restrictive as this AUP
• Promptly addressing and reporting any violations by your end users to Muvi
• Providing clear terms to your end users regarding the use of AI-generated content

Failure by your end users to comply with this AUP may result in enforcement actions against your account.

7. Age Requirement

The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. If you integrate the Services into your own application, you must implement appropriate age verification mechanisms and ensure that minors do not access AI content generation features.

8. Enforcement & Consequences

Muvi takes violations of this AUP seriously. Enforcement actions are proportional to the severity and nature of the violation:

1. First Violation — Warning: A formal notice identifying the violation, requiring immediate corrective action, and outlining consequences of continued non-compliance
2. Repeated Violations — Temporary Suspension: Restriction of API access for a defined period while the situation is investigated and resolved
3. Serious or Intentional Violations — Permanent Termination: Immediate and permanent revocation of access to all Services. Any remaining account balance or credits will be forfeited with no refund

Special enforcement for CSAM: Any involvement with child sexual abuse material results in immediate and permanent account termination, forfeiture of all balances, and mandatory reporting to law enforcement authorities including NCMEC. No warnings or suspensions — zero tolerance.

Muvi reserves the right to report any illegal activity to the appropriate law enforcement authorities and to cooperate fully with any resulting investigations.

When submitting a report, please include as much detail as possible: account identifiers, timestamps, screenshots, generated content IDs, and a description of the violation. We review all reports and will respond within five (5) business days.

10. Changes to This Policy

Muvi reserves the right to update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform dashboard, via email to registered account holders, or through a notice on our website. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
